SPORE, a sci-fi thriller, came about from the question, “How early is too early to quarantine with someone you met on a dating app?” Myself and actress/dancer Torrie Bogda connected on Hinge in January 2020 and by the time California initiated its COVID-19 lockdown, we were living together. Instead of a short quarantine, we found ourselves in a long-term living situation.  As a new couple and out of a job, we asked, “What can we creatively accomplish with just the two of us?" Out of the COVID-19 lockdown and relationship bootcamp came SPORE, a sci-fi adventure, which poses the questions:  When does the absence of human touch become its own sickness? At what point do you risk your health for the possibility of love? Logistically, we knew the only cast and crew available to us during a statewide lockdown were ourselves. So we wrote SPORE in a way that allowed us to double as entire cast and crew.

The creation of SPORE was my attempt to connect to other humans by showing my own underbelly of both hope and anxiety. SPORE is what happens when two people with vivid imaginations and anxiety disorders attempt to process fear.
